When Pelham mom, Maria Rosell’s children headed out the door for a sleepover she cringed to see how the pillows, on which little heads would soon lay, were thrown helter-skelter picking up plenty of dirt along the way. Plus all their other sleepover necessities were packed into a mish-mash of bags.

Rosell asked her mother to make the children a handy bag out of leftover material she had around the house – and presto the Bombinizz was born. Leave it to kids to find other uses for the bag – gym gear, beach stuff, arts and crafts supplies and moms report it makes a great diaper bag and birthday gift.

Now sold in a wide variety of fabrics appropriate for boys and girls, the pillow sack includes a sturdy zipper and an inner and outer pocket for toothbrush and nightwear, the adjustable shoulder strap is optional. Kidz Korner

There’s a new center in town! Infant, toddler and preschool classrooms are now open at Kidz Korner in Scarsdale. The program offers a balance of activities including indoor, outdoor, individual, small group, child directed and teacher directed activities. Each child is encouraged to develop social, emotional and cognitive skills. Nutritious meals and snacks are served.
