Find a huge collection of fun back-to-school books (and more!) for your kids at the Katonah Reading Room. Owner Gretchen Menzies noted, “We have back-to-school books, journals, pens, paper, pencils and pencil cases. They also have a fun stationary section, filled with pens, cool notebooks, erasers, pencil case holders, and more! She added, “we sell dorm room decorations, scissors, folders, stickers, glue, washi tape, art supplies, and so much more.”

At this boutique store, you’ll find a mix of classic and contemporary brands for babies, children, and tweens. This includes brands like vintage Havana Kids, Converse (bling-ed out by &JAMES), Suburban Riot, goodr, Bari Lynn, and much more. This includes sizes for newborns to size 16, to carry your child from Kindergarten to middle school.
You might want to also add some smiley collection finds to your back-to-school list. Owner Jessica Harris mentioned that it’s the anniversary of the smiley face. She noted, “&JAMES, you’ll find an assortment of smiley clothing with that happy logo.” They also carry tons of denim — in a variety of washes — for tweens and teens.
