We made it to the halfway point of the year so quickly, and in the blink of an eye, we made it to the 4th of July. It’s time to start planning a fun 4th of July weekend for the entire family. We’re bringing you a complete list of 4th of July Celebrations happening in Westchester this year that are perfect for every family, so head out and have fun this Independence Day weekend!

Pierson Park Tarrytown

Head to Pierson Park for a day full of family fun this 4th of July. Beginning at 5:00 pm, Pierson Park will have transformed into a 4th of July party with food trucks, a kid’s fun zone with face painting, glitter tattoos, and a bouncy castle. The night will end with a fireworks show that begins after dark. Tarrytown recommends that families use public transportation as there is expected to be heavy traffic after the festivities. 238 W Main St, Tarrytown, NY 10591

July 4th Beach Party

Head to The Barley Beach House for a view of Westchester’s best fireworks show, along with a Hawaiian dance/fire show at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm, music, and a roasted chicken buffet. The fireworks show starts between 9 pm and 9:15 pm, visible from Long Island to NYC. Tickets are $40, and children under 3 get in free. Independence Day at Playland with Live Entertainment and Fireworks

Playland is hosting a jam-packed 4th of July celebration with strolling entertainers, aerialists, face painters, and more. Independence Day Celebration, Mount Vernon

Families are invited to join the Independence Day celebration on Thursday, July 4th, at 10:30 am. The event will feature a reading of the Declaration of Independence and the tolling of the historic church bell 13 times. Pops, Patriots, & Fireworks at Caramoor

Caramoor’s Independence Day fireworks show is returning this summer. The Westchester Symphonic Winds, joined by soloists from the Schwab Vocal Rising Stars program, will perform a selection of works that pay tribute to America’s independence. This includes renditions of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever. The evening will end with a dazzling fireworks display on the Caramoor grounds. Independence Day Celebration with Leaders of Tomorrow

The Rye Historical Society, in partnership with Leaders of Tomorrow, is proud to announce a special July 4th event in Rye, NY, honoring American independence and Rye’s historical role. Families can enjoy historic speeches, character presenters, the reading of the Declaration of Independence, and the unfurling of the 48-star flag. Tours at The Rye Historical Square House Museum will follow the event. July 4th Celebration, Echo Bay Yacht Club, New Rochelle

Families are invited to enjoy a fun day on the island with activities including a Baked Goods contest, tug-of-war, Horseshoes, Music, Dinner, Drinks, and the New Rochelle Fireworks Show. Music Fest and Fireworks Valhalla

The annual Music Fest & Fireworks, sponsored by Captain Lawrence Brewing Company and Westchester Parks Foundation, will be held at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla on July 3rd. Enjoy pre-concert entertainment starting at 5:00 pm, followed by fireworks around 9:00 pm. Admission and parking are free. Carpooling or public transport is recommended. Families can bring lawn chairs or blankets; feel free to bring a picnic. Celebrate Independence Concert

Families are invited to celebrate America’s Independence at Boscobel this Fourth of July weekend with the annual tradition of a concert on the Great Lawn. The Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra is returning to this historic site. Conductor Russell Ger will bring his explosive artistic energy with a lineup of music inspired by fireworks and jubilation. Mamaroneck Fireman’s Carnival

The Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department is hosting its annual Firemen’s Carnival at Harbor Island Park from Thursday, June 27th to Saturday, July 6th, 2024. The event is packed with family fun, including thrilling carnival rides suitable for all ages, delicious festival food and treats, carnival games with prizes, and more.

Key attractions include the Fireman’s Parade on June 28th at 7:00 pm, running along Mamaroneck Ave to Harbor Island Park, and a spectacular fireworks display on July 4th at 9:15 pm (The rain date for the fireworks is July 5th). The carnival will run from 6:45 pm to 11:30 pm every day. July 4th Revolutionary War Living History Presentation

Families are invited to join the historic Van Cortlandt Manor for a Revolutionary War Living History Presentation. They can learn about the First Rhode Island Regiment and its role in the Battle of Rhode Island. Historians will also discuss the Continental Army and the 2nd New York Regiment. Town of Somers Independence Day Celebration

The Somers Independence Day Celebration at Reis Park is happening on Wednesday, July 3rd, starting at 5:00 pm. This event is being held by the Town of Somers, Somers Lions Club, and Somers Chamber of Commerce. Families can stop by and enjoy a basketball tournament, a hot dog eating contest, the famous Somers Lions BBQ, refreshments at the Reis Park Concession Stand, and even some town-sponsored axe throwing.
