Looking for a high-flying adventure for you and your kids? Zip lines are a fun way to enjoy the outdoors while experiencing a high-energy activity that provides you and your kids the opportunity to literally fly through trees! Below, we are sharing a range of local aerial parks with climbing and zip lining options, ranging from  mild to very challenging. Happy swinging!

Boundless Adventures

Located on the campus of Purchase College, Boundless Adventures offers kids and their families a climbing and swinging adventure through the trees. This includes access to 16 immersive courses that you will swing, climb, balance and zip through. The courses range in levels with four different skill levels. This includes courses that range from yellow (beginner) to black (age 12-13 – with an adult or age 14 and up – without an adult), as well as courses for younger climbers (age 4-6 years old). To participate, families should book a reservation online and wear closed-toed shoes and gloves. Once you arrive, kids and participants will learn more about the course and receive safety training. Spins Hudson

This immersive kids’ space offers so many fun things for kids to do. This includes axe throwing, laser tag, an arcade, and an aerial ropes course. Courses include four levels with over 70 elements, including zip lines. Kids will love climbing 50-feet in the air as they challenge themselves and have fun. Tree Top Adventures

Enjoy a high energy aerial adventure at Tree Top Adventures. Located at Barton Orchards, the experience is only open on the weekends where kids can climb and zip along the trees and Whaley Lake Creek. Designed for all skill levels, the course takes around three hours to complete and climbers must be at least 72″ inches tall. This includes five courses that are designated as yellow (easy), green (medium), and blue (hard). Adirondack Extreme

This fun outdoor park offers a unique experience with their “low rider” zip line tour.  This is designed for first-time users to help them to get comfortable with zip lining. The low experience features 12 zip lines and nine walking bridges. This experience is suitable for kids ages nine and up and kids ages 9-12 years old must have an adult over age 18 with them. The Castle Fun Center

Enjoy a high-flying adventure at this Chester, NY zip line park. This includes a 700-foot long and 130-foot high experience with a speed of 30 miles an hour. This singular zip lining ride allows two people to sit together. However, riders must be at least 42″ tall and those who are between 42″ and 47″ must have an adult rider with them. The Adventure Park

Take a trip to Bridgeport, CT for this incredible zip line experience. Participants must be at least five years old and be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian. The courses includes six courses, ranging from yellow to double black. The park allow kids and their parents the opportunity to climb as they navigate from one tree platform to another. This includes crossing challenge bridges of cable wood and rope, as well as “flying” across zip lines. Participants should register online in advance. Upon arrival, kids will be given a safety demo as well as harnesses for their adventures. Additionally, this park also has axe throwing should you want to try an additional experience.
