It’s time for another Westchester weekend, and the fun starts early this week, with the 4th of July holiday weekend beginning on Thursday. We’re ready for our long holiday weekend, packed with fun events for the entire family to enjoy.

Celebrate Independence Concert

Join the annual concert on the Great Lawn at Boscobel this Fourth of July weekend with the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra. Conductor Russell Ger will bring a lineup of music inspired by fireworks and jubilation. Families are encouraged to bring chairs and pack a picnic. 2024 Summer Concert Series, Croton-on-Hudson

This free summer concert series at Croton-on-Hudson’s Senasqua Park is fun for the entire family. Bring a blanket, enjoy live music, and watch the sunset over the Hudson River. Free mini-bus shuttle on Friday nights from June 21st to August 9th as part of the Summer Concert & Family Entertainment Series. The Summer Sounds Concert Series, New Rochelle

The Summer Sounds Concert Series at Hudson Park in New Rochelle is a beloved series of free concerts in the historic bandshell on the Long Island Sound shoreline. The series features a curated calendar of top bands and food trucks and draws 400 to 600 people weekly throughout the summer.

Catch Manny’s Boogaloo Crew for a night of Latin jazz, funk, and salsa. Families will enjoy delicious food from two of Westchester’s top food trucks, Yumbro and Leila’s Crepe Station.

Day at the Beach with LUSH Westchester

LUSH Westchester is hosting a summer celebration from July 5th to July 7th. For $6.50, families can create their own “Out of this World” bath bomb and enjoy games and activities at the shop. Everyone is encouraged to wear their best summer attire and join the fun!

Beach Storytime

Families can join the all-ages storytime fun at Rye Town Park and Beach every Friday this summer. The event includes fingerplays, movements, songs, rhymes, books, and sunshine! 95 Dearborn Ave, Rye, NY 10580

Saturday, July 6th

Family Fun Day at Sprain Ridge Pool

Head to the Sprain Ridge Pool for fun, family-friendly games, music, and more. Enjoy a full day of swimming with the entire family this 4th of July weekend. The event will take place from noon to 4:00 p.m. The rain date is July 7th. 149 Jackson Ave, Yonkers, NY 10706

Farmers Markets

Visiting your local farmers’ market is a wonderful way to connect with your community while enjoying the freshest artisanal goods and food. Head to Pleasantville, Peekskill, Chappaqua, and Larchmont this Saturday for some fun, family-friendly farmers’ markets.

Hispanic Heritage Festival 

Westchester families are invited to celebrate Hispanic culture and traditions at the Hispanic Heritage Festival on Sunday, July 7th, from noon to 7 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. The festival will feature dancing, arts & crafts, food, special activities for children, health vendors, educational vendors, and much more. 1 Bronx River Parkway, Valhalla, NY 10595

Morning Farm Chores: For Adults

Families are invited to join the staff and become farmers for a day. They will be able to feed, clean, and care for the animals. Pre-registration is required, costing $25 for a group of two. This event is available to everyone aged 15 and over. Participants will meet at Muscoot’s Reception Center and are required to wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear. 51 Route 100, Katonah, New York 10536
