Touro College of Dental Medicine Offers Free Dental Care, Programs and Contests for Kids in February

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month, and Touro College of Dental Medicine (TCDM) is celebrating by offering free dental care and a variety of fun online programs for kids and teens of all ages.

From February 16th through the 26th, children 16 and under can receive a free screening, cleaning, fluoride, and up to four fillings at no charge at the college’s new, state-of-the-art pediatric practice, Touro Dental Health Kids. In addition, kids are invited to participate in free virtual programs and contests aimed at creating good oral hygiene habits at home and increasing awareness of dental health.

Kids Pre-K though 3rd grade can take TCDM’s video challenge and will receive a special prize in the mail just for participating. 4-7th graders can join an interactive online class full of fun games led by TCDM’s student dentists, in addition to an essay contest where winners will receive great prizes including an iPad mini. Students in grades 8-12 can participate in a virtual career day where they will learn all about exciting careers in dentistry while having the chance to win great prizes during a live trivia contest.

“At TCDM, we are committed to ensuring every child has access to quality dental care and that families have the resources they need in order to maintain good oral health hygiene practices,” said Carla Tornatore, D.D.S., Director of Pediatric Dentistry at TCDM.

This project is part of TCDM 4th annual Give Kids a Smile! Program, a national initiative that helps ensure access to vital dental health services and oral health education for children.Learn more at dental.touro.edu/GKAS or to schedule an appointment for free dental care, call 914-594-2700.
