Pantry Needs

The Ossining Food Pantry helps more than 200 people each week. Those served come from all walks of life including single people, families, children and the elderly. The all-volunteer organization can use your help. Volunteers are needed for many duties such as distributing food to families in need, picking up food from various locations or offering office support.

Families are in need 12 months out of the year, not just during the holiday season. Consider participating in the Coalition’s Meal-A-Month program, which allows you to make ongoing donations (as little as $25 a month) that go to supporting this unique meal program that provides meals for needy Westchester residents.

Ready to Serve

Sometimes you host a large event and there’s just so much food leftover. It’s such a waste to throw it out, but where do you donate it? A little pre-planning and you can easily donate extra food to this organization started by a Westchester mom. Did you know the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act protects food donors from liability? Excess food is also accepted from businesses that prepare, sell or distribute food or beverages.
