The first ever Food Hall is opening its doors in Westchester County this summer bringing the newest culinary trend to Mount Kisco. Exit 4 Food Hall is the brainchild of Isidoro “Isi” Albanese, long-time restaurateur in the town and owner and operator of Bellizzi Restaurant on Main Street. The new eatery will include a variety of different food stations offering the finest in local farm-to-table ingredients.
The new Food Hall will open at the current Bellizzi location, which has been serving the community with food, fun and family entertainment for more than 24 years but will now be transformed with a completely different look and feel. The new interior will have seating for up to 85 guests and will bring an affordable fresh casual dining option to residents. While all the plans are still being finalized, the main vision of this Food Hall is to provide customers with a variety of different food and drink options under one roof (or by delivery/catering)-including -a bar with local, craft beer and wine and charcuterie; a wood-fired pizza station; homemade fresh pasta station; salad/panini’s station; Ramen and rice/quinoa bowl station; BBQ station; Middle Eastern station; a Taqueria; and a raw bar, lobster rolls, and sushi station by Joe DiMauro of Mount Kisco Seafood. Exit 4 Food Hall will join the roster of other new restaurants opening in Mount Kisco helping to support the community’s position as a local dining destination spot.
“Over the past few years we have seen many changes in Mount Kisco that have had an impact on our business,” explained Albanese. “While we have continued to evolve with the changes, the time was right to try something new and different; and we think that the Food Hall concept will be the perfect fit for our town. We don’t view this as the closing of Bellizzi, but instead a transition toward a better future.” Albanese further explained that Bellizzi will continue to remain open during the transition period and that this should be an exciting time for their customers as they have already started to evolve toward some of the new food offerings (e.g., wood-fired pizza) and plan to continually test new items. “Our customers are our greatest asset and why we have continued to stay in business for 24 years,” added Albanese.
“This concept gives emerging culinary talent a shot at a brick-and-mortar location and allows established chefs a chance to experiment outside the box”.
