D.I.G Farm

Located in North Salem, D.I.G Farm offers an immersive homeschooling program for kids ages 4-13 years old. Through the program, kids learn more about the connection of humans and the natural world through observation and hands-on experience. Sessions run on Monday from 10:00am-11:30am throughout four sessions.  $25 per session; $20 for each additional child. Session 1 starts March 13-April10; Session 2 starts April 17-May15; Session 3 starts May22-June 19; Session 4 starts September 11-October 9. Families can sign up here. D.I.G. Homeschool Music Conservatory

Include a music program as a part of your homeschool schedule with lessons from the Homeschool Music Conservatory. This includes in-home lessons for kids and teens that includes piano, guitar, voice, cello, and music theory. The Rewilding School

Get your kids out in nature at The Rewilding School (Croton and Mt Kisco). They offer a variety of programs for kids, including the immersive Forest Preschool where kids ages 3-5 learn and interact with the natural world. They also have a Spring Wild Ones class for kids and their parents ages 1-2; Spring Wildlings for ages 2-4; a Weekend Hunter Gatherers program for kids in grades 1-6; and a Wild Summer for kids in grades 1-6. Tinkergarden

Tinkergarden’s activity-based model is a great way for kids to experience the outdoors all year-long. Classes are held in nature with a focus on open-ended and child-led play as well as a component of science. Classes are small and organized in mixed-age groups with kids ranging from 1.5-8 years.

Educational Programs Groups

As part of your child’s homeschooling, you also might have them take supplemental educational classes. Fusion Academy Westchester (1 North Broadway Suite 120 White Plains, NY 10601) offers programming for part-time students, tutoring, and personalized one-to-one learning. Whiz Kid Tutoring offers a range of educational programs for educational assistance, such as private tutoring for elementary school, middle school, and high school students. The Academic Enrichment Program at C.C.B School of Westchester (234 N. Central Avenue, Hartsdale, NY 10530) offers year-round training and educational assistance for students in small groups. Programs start at Pre-K-high school.

Facebook Groups

There are several Westchester-based Facebook groups where you and your kids can connect with other parents. Some groups include Homeschoolers Tribe Of Westchester County; the Putnam & Northern Westchester County, NY HomeschoolersWestchester Homeschooled Teens; and the 

Homeschool New York – Community Lower Westchester LEAH 

This Christian-based homeschooling support group serves Bronxville and Westchester with local in person and online meetings. The chapter organizes regular talks with home educators, trips, athletic activities, and various other events.
