Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience
Calling all Harry Potter fans! A new interactive Harry Potter experience is coming to Westchester County this fall with Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience! Held at Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Yorktown Heights, the immersive experience will take you and your kids into the forest to experience creatures and moments from the “Harry Potter™ and Fantastic Beasts™” films.
The experience opens on October 22nd where you and your kids will follow a misty trail with lights and theatrical illusions where you discover fantastic beasts, Wizarding World moments, and meet unexpected creatures along the way. This includes interactive moments and the chance to see magical creatures, such as Hippogriffs, Centaurs, Unicorns, Nifflers, and more. Kids will have a chance to use wands to cast spells and conjure a Patronus. The experience also features Wizarding World-inspired food and drinks for purchase after your walk through the forest, along with a blazing fire.
The experience notes that wizards, witches and Muggles of all ages can visit but it does take place at night (5:00pm-11:00pm) as well as features lights and characters which may be scary for younger kids. Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience runs for 60-90 minutes. Ticket prices range from $36–$75 for adults and $25–$64 for children.
