Family Programming at Emelin Theatre

Living in Westchester, we are so lucky to have access to some of the performing arts venues to see kids’ theater without having to venture to the city. At venues such as Emelin Theatre families can enjoy world-class performances as they see their favorite stories come to life. With productions running at 60 minutes, families can enjoy an immersive and fun introduction to theater that is also catered specifically to younger audiences.

We recently enjoyed such an experience by checking out the musical Pete’s Big Hollywood Adventure at Emelin Theatre. The light-hearted show, led by a talented cast of actors and singers, featured a fusion of several Pete the Cat books. This included “Cavecat Pete,” “Pete the Cat,”  “Treasure Map,” “The Cool Cat Boogie” as we saw our favorite groovy cat come to life.

Additionally, these productions allow kids to see an impressive roster of traveling theaters such as Theatreworks, Tutti Frutti of Leeds, and the Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia. And great news for families – their programming for the year just started! Check out the list of some other musicals and shows to check out with your kids at Emelin Theatre this season.
