Croton Point Park Campground
In addition to being a gorgeous location to view the dam, you and your family can enjoy a weekend away at the Croton Point Park Campground. Accommodations include a deluxe cabin for four or six people or a regular cabin for six. For an additional fee, you can get daily water, sewer, and electric. Ward Pound Ridge Reservation
Enjoy the many natural amenities when you stay the night at this 4,315-acre park. As the County’s largest park, you can enjoy picnicking, hiking, a visit to the Trailside Nature Museum and Gallery in the park, camping, fishing, and even cross-country skiing. Agatha A. Durland Scout Reservation
Camping at the Agatha A. Durland Scout Reservation includes three large and six small cabins as well as tents. The cabins comes with a refrigerator, propane cooking stove, wood stove, electricity, microwave, water, and propane heat. The Reservation also includes access to 1,400 acres of land, 2 lakes, and 18 miles of trails. Mountain Lakes Park
This 1,082-acre park offers some incredible trails for nature lovers, included rugged terrain and trails with hardwood forest. For camping, they offer rustic camping options, yurts, and a directors cabin. West Point FMWR Round Pond Outdoor Recreation Area
This recreational area offers tons of options for family camping, including 28 RV camping spaces, 20 tent sites, 10 mini log cabins, and a rental cottage, to name some options. Reservations are accepted from January-November and someone in your life does have to be a retired or active military personal. Sleeping with the Wolves
For a very different camping experience, try camping with the wolves at the Wolf Conservation Center. This popular event books up fast that currently has dates from June 11th – October 15th. The experience kicks off on a Friday evening with a pizza party, entertainment, fireside snacks, and breakfast. Blue Mountain Reservation
Located in Peekskill, this 1,538-acre park offers trails for biking, walking and hiking to the nearby Mt. Spitzenberg and Blue Mountain.
