It’s June and that means families will be celebrating now and throughout the summer. It seems like there’s a party for every activity – last day at school, kids with summer birthdays, last ballet class, last baseball practice and more.
Plus, Father’s Day deserves to be celebrated in style and then there is a summer of outdoor picnics and gatherings.
This recipe can be used with your favorite cake and frosting recipe or choice of boxed cake. The crumbles take it to a new level that make any dessert a real celebration.
Celebration Crumble
Ingredients
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
3/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles
1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
Directions
1. Pre-Heat Oven to 300 degrees.
2. In a mixer with the paddle attachment add all ingredients. Mix together until crumbles form and dough begins to stick.
3. Using your hands form dough together into a ball.
3. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Using your fingers break apart the dough into crumbles.
4. Place on middle rack and bake 12–15 minutes until golden.
