Did you know that May is Preservation Month? Join Histoury, a tour company that connects guests to the past through their immersive tours. This month they are hosting a Celebrating Preservation Month in Westchester: A Bus Tour of Historic Buildings in Mamaroneck, Port Chester, and Rye where families can see and learn more about a collection of the area’s historic buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Through the tour, families will drive around in a charter bus from Larchmont to Port Chester to see oldest surviving home in Westchester County, the first planned amusement park in the country, one of the skinniest houses in America, a “George Washington Slept Here” building, and much more.

Guests will also see an almost complete collection of the area’s National Register of Historic Places as a tour guide shares more about the people and stories that are connected to each place as well as its incredible architectural features. Guests will also get a close look at these buildings to look at its interiors and listen to community members who are working to keep the buildings preserved and vibrant!
