Amazing Butterflies

Want to learn more about butterflies? You and your kids can do that right in Westchester at the new Amazing Butterflies Exhibit at Lasdon Park. Open from now until May 7th, the immersive and exciting new exhibit is produced by Minotaur Mazes of Seattle and based on an exhibition created for the Natural History Museum in London. The exhibit features scientific input and interpretation where families are invited to shrink down to the undergrowth and learn more about the life cycle of a butterfly in an interactive maze. Families start as a caterpillar as they make their way to a secret world with grass and leaves towering over your head. Bannerman Island Cruise and Walking Tour

Enjoy a 2.5 hour tour as you and your kids learn more about the historic Bannerman Island. The event includes a 30-minute boat ride and a 45-minute walking tour to visit the ruins and gardens of Bannerman Castle ruins and gardens, and more. 2 Red Flynn Dr, Beacon, NY 12508

Wonderland: Alice’s Rock & Roll Adventure

Join Broadway Training Center of Westchester this weekend to to see “Wonderland: Alice’s Rock & Roll Adventure” as Lewis Carroll’s beloved tale of self-actualization brought to vibrant life as seven-and-a-half-year-old Alice searches for her inner voice. Along the way, she meets new friends and faces challenges and fears, but in learning to believe in the impossible, Alice learns to believe in herself. Visit the Rye Reading Room every Saturday for STEM Spark. This new program provides a great opportunity to introduce simple STEM concepts while encouraging play and exploration. Peekskill Rotary’s Cherry Blossom Festival 

Celebrate the beginning of spring at the The Rotary Club of Peekskill’s Annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra, Young Artists Concerto Competition Concert

Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra will present a gala concert featuring the winners of its 44th Annual Young Artists Concerto Competition.  These outstanding young musicians join the orchestra in an exciting and varied program led by guest conductor Stephen Huang. Repertoire extends from the Baroque to the Modern era, with concertos by Bach, Beethoven, Grieg and Arutiunian, along with Bizet’s brilliantly virtuosic Carmen Fantasy, arranged for flute.
