It’s time for another Westchester weekend, and it’s going to be a hot one! So, we’re bringing you some great family-friendly activities that are perfect for this warm Westchester weekend.

Friday-Saturday, July 12th-13th

Hudson River Museum’s Summer Amphitheater Series

The 2024 Summer Amphitheater Series offers diverse performances on Friday and Saturday evenings from July 12th to August 17th. All shows will be held in the 400-seat outdoor amphitheater with a view of the Hudson River. The performances are free and start at 8:00 pm, with doors opening at 7:30 pm. Seating is first-come, first-served, and no reservations are required. Free parking is available, and the venue is ADA-accessible.

This weekend’s summer series starts with the Latin fusion indie band Afro Dominicano. Their music combines traditional folkloric roots from the Dominican Republic with Afrobeats, reggae, calypso, samba, funk, and punk rock. 511 Warburton Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10701

Friday, July 12th

Yonkers Waterfront Live

Families are invited to the Yonkers Waterfront Live Concert Series. Every Friday night through August 16th, head to the Yonkers Waterfront and enjoy free live music from 6:30 pm to 8 pm by the waterfront. The series takes place at 71 Water Grant Street, near X20 Restaurant.

Friday, July 12th

Free Robison Summer Concert Series at Kensico Dam Plaza

Head to Kensico Dam Plaza on Fridays at 7:00 pm for their summer concert series. Families are advised to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers for seating. The Robison Summer Concert Series is presented by Westchester County Parks and Sharc Creative, with the support of the Westchester Parks Foundation and various sponsors.

This weekend, families can enjoy Shot Thru The Heart and A Tribute to Bon Jovi. Admission is free, and all are welcome! 1 Bronx River Parkway, Valhalla

Friday, July 12th

SPARK

SPARK is a powerful theatrical production that weaves together the stories of 10 women with movement and music. It explores identity, loss, love, and growth themes, inviting audiences to reflect on their journeys. The show runs on July 12th and July 13th at 8:00 pm and on July 14th at 2:00 pm. Summer Sounds Concert Series in New Rochelle

The Summer Sounds Concert Series at Hudson Park in New Rochelle is a beloved series of free concerts in Westchester. The series features a curated calendar of top bands and food trucks and draws 400 to 600 people weekly throughout the summer.

Catch The Mayor’s House and Drew Young Band for an evening of Americana music and Rock. Families can enjoy delicious food from La Fusion food truck alongside some wonderful tunes. 2-54 Wildcliff Rd, New Rochelle, NY 10805

Pound Ridge Library: “What’s in a Name?” with The Stamford Museum & Nature Center

Pleasantville Music Festival

The Pleasantville Music Festival on July 13th will feature live world-class rock music, food and drinks, fun activities for kids, and more. There will also be opportunities to shop, learn about charities, and enjoy a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. The festival will showcase a diverse lineup of headliners, breakout stars, and local artists. Saturday, July 13th

City of Water Day – Yonkers

The Yonkers Paddling and Rowing Club is hosting a free kayaking program for the public at its downtown boathouse. The event will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and will include refreshments from neighboring businesses. The club is partnering with environmental organizations to provide information on local climate change impacts and ways to get involved. The event is free and open to all; no registration is required. Participants in the kayaking activity will need to sign a waiver on-site. 19 Alexander Street, Yonkers, NY 10701

Irish American Heritage Festival

HEAR HERE! Music and Arts Festival

Families won’t want to miss the HEAR HERE! Music and Arts Festival in Ossining. It’s a free music festival at the beautiful Louis Engel Waterfront Park. You’ll get to enjoy performances by The Bluechips, School of Rock Briarcliff Manor, Westchester Dance Artists, and more! Don’t forget to grab some delicious food and drinks from Here Coffee + Beer, Hudson Oven, Wanna Empanada, and more.
