Westchester Beaches and Pools are Open for the Season!
Beach and pool season is here! In Westchester, the summer season for the County beaches starts on Saturday, May 27th (pool season kicks off on June 23rd) where you and your family can enjoy access to the County’s many offerings. Check out the list of places to soak in the sun locally with your family.
Westchester Beaches
Croton Point Beach: Located in Croton-on-Hudson, this beach is located on a 508-acre park where you and your family can enjoy fishing, hiking, pickining, camping, and more. Open weekends and holidays only from May 27th-June 18th from 11:00am-6:30pm. Open Wednesdays- Sundays and holidays, Friday, June 23rd-Monday, Sept. 4th. $4 per person; $3 per child (ages 5-11; under 5 is free). No pets are permitted.
Glen Island Beach: Located in New Rochelle, the property is located on 105-acres. The beach also offers picnic areas, reservable and open picnic areas, boat launching, pathways, and more. Open from May 27th-June 18th from 11:00am-6:30pm. $4 per person; $3 per child (ages 5-11; under 5 is free). No pets are permitted.
Westchester Pools
Saxon Woods Pool: Located in White Plains, the pool is located on a 700-acre property where you and your family can also enjoy access to their golf course, playgrounds, hiking, and more. Open daily, starting on June 23rd, from 11:00am-6:30pm. $6 per person; $4 per child (ages 5-11; under 5 is free).
Sprain Ridge Pool: Located in Yonkers, Sprain Ridge Pool is home to 278 acres. This includes access to hiking, biking, and two picnic areas. Open daily, starting on June 23rd, from 11:00am-6:30pm. $6 per person; $4 per child (ages 5-11; under 5 is free).
Tibbetts Brook Park: This fun pool area features a fun spray playground for kids, in-pool basketball and volleyball court, lap lanes, and a lazy river. Open daily, starting on June 23rd, from 11:00am-6:30pm. $6 per person; $4 per child (ages 5-11; under 5 is free).
Wilson’s Wave Pool: Located in Mount Vernon, this pool is home to a popular wave pool, water slide, an interactive playground, and 57 different spray heads. Open daily, starting on June 23rd, from 11:00am-6:30pm. $6 per person; $4 per child (ages 5-11; under 5 is free).
All Westchester residents will have to present a proof of county residency with a valid New York State driver’s license. For all of the pools, there is a limit of four adult guests and up to five children (ages 5 – 17) for each Park Pass holder and non-Park Pass holder.
