It’s St. Patrick’s Day this month and that makes us all a little Irish. If you’d like to take your celebrations up a notch consider enrolling your boy or girl in an Irish dance class. Here are a few programs to choose from.
Deirdre O’Mara School of Irish Dance
Classes are offered at their new and expanded studio located at 265 Central Park Ave. in Yonkers for boys and girls ages 3 and up. Competition is an option, but not required. LY NN Academy of Irish Dance
The Academy has several locations that offer a variety of classes. Students, ages 4 through adult, start at the beginning and progress through a variety of levels.

McGough Academy School of Irish Dance
McGough Academy offers classes at three locations: 957 McLean Ave., Yonkers, Andrea’s Dance Studio, 209 Brook St., Scarsdale and Platinum Performance Studio in Huntington, Long Island. O’Rourke Academy of Irish Dance
Children ages 3 to 4 are welcome in the Preschool class and those entering kindergarten can start with Beginner lessons. Students progress through a variety of levels that can lead to competition if desired. Adult classes are also available. The Academy offers a Summer Camp and invites all students to participate in several St. Patrick’s Day Parades in the area.
