Take the children along – if kids help pick out their veggies there’s a better chance they’ll eat them.

Westchester residents will be able to buy farm-fresh local produce, cheeses and other dairy products, meats, baked goods and wine directly from farmers and producers at the indoor Farmers Market, to be held on the last Sunday of each month from November through March, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. To add to the fun, each month will feature live entertainment provided by local musicians from the Hudson Valley and surrounding area. Admission is free. Parking at the County Center lot is $5.

Seasons change and so does the Pleasantville Farmers’ Market. But good news …. the Market moves indoors from Jan-May supplying the area with farm fresh goods during the winter months. Get the same fresh produce, meats and cheeses plus meet new vendors that have signed on for the winter season. The Indoor market has slightly different hours – Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1p.m. The Market is operated by Foodchester Inc., a nonprofit organization. Sponsors for the indoor market are Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, The Gym and Green Mountain Energy.
