FREE Family Fun Day

The Tarrytown Music Hall is pleased to announce its inaugural FAMILY FUN DAY on SundayMarch 2 from 11am-3pm, presenting a fun-filled day of music, puppetry, arts & crafts, face painting, cartoons and more for the community to enjoy. This event will be FREE and open to the public. No tickets required.

 

Over the past year, the Music Hall has expanded its Family show offerings, and this Family Fun day is a way to say thank you to those who have attended, or may be attending our exciting Family programs in the near future.

The line-up of entertainment is as follows:

 

Interactive puppet shows with ‘Jilly Puppets’– a one woman puppet troupe, combining dance, musicality and the power of the imagination! Jilly constructs her puppets from repurposed and recycled materials and brings a sense of wonder to all who encounter her fanciful puppet shows. Jilly has a masters degree in education and in addition to being an independent choreographer, studies Dance Education at the 92nd st Y in NYC

 

Nutrition tips from Sheila Emery Murphy, a Holistic Health Coach and Tarrytown resident, helps families make important changes about food and life so they can improve their own health, prevent illness, be happier and nurture their children’s healthy habits. Murphy will offer a kid-friendly healthy snack sample, quick & easy recipe ideas, and interactive activities to surprise and inspire eaters of all ages.

 

LEGO building with Kathleen McCarthy Udoff. Kathleen is a charismatic theater teacher, known for her high-energy, interactive style classes. Her Theater and LEGO parties build on a child’s creativity and imagination, in a fun and nurturing environment.

 

Face painting by, IMAGINE  Face Painting…bringing smiles as children are magically transformed…pirates, tigers, butterflies and more!

 

Interactive singing and music making on our stage with Over The Moon Music! Have you ever wondered what you can do to nurture the musical growth of your child, regardless of your own musical ability? Experience Music Together® and find out how important–and how much fun–your role can be! Each class includes songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement, and instrument play. These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences–developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers–regardless of their own musical ability.
