Farm Stand – Fridays 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Open throughout the summer and fall. All produce is grown on the farm without the use of pesticides, synthesized fertilizers or herbicides. Check the website weekly for available produce.

 

U-Pick – Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. weather permitting

Enjoy harvesting your own vegetables, herbs and flowers that are grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers. Pay at the farm stand. Check website weekly for available produce.

 

Preserving the Harvest: Canning – Saturday, August 10, 9 a.m. – noon in Barn F.

Join the growing movement of people who want to preserve their summer bounty. Registration is required. Fee is $25 per person, $10 for children ages 8-12.

 

Couples CookingJoin Laurie Gershgorn, chef and owner of Healthy Culinary Creations, for an evening of cooking and fun with your partner and learn how to make delicious, healthy new recipes. Online registration only. Fee $75 per couple. 

 

Herbal Teas and Dyes – Saturday, August 17, 10 a.m. – noon in Barn F.

Join Carol Lake, author of Simple Cheese Making and Dancing Dog Farm, and learn how to make and enjoy herbal teas and dyes. 

 

Spin & Knit – Saturday, August 17, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Building F.

Gather in an informal atmosphere and be part of a monthly spinning and knitting group. No fee or registration required for first-time attendees; $5 for each subsequent class.

 

Seed Saving – Saturday, August 24, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. in Barn F.

Learn the value and craft of saving your seeds for next year’s crops with horticulturalist Shanyn Siegel. Fee $20 per person, $5 for children ages 8-12.

 

Hilltop Hanover Farm and Environmental Center is located at 1271 Hanover Street in 
Yorktown Heights.
