As part of its sixth annual Wellness Through Prevention Month, White Plains Hospital is offering two outreach events specifically for women focused on cancer prevention and healthy living.
The first is Brake for Breakfast, an early morning event where women can drive up to the Dickstein Cancer Treatment Center on Longview Avenue and within a couple of minutes, receive a free breakfast, cancer prevention materials and an opportunity to speak with a breast cancer specialist about prevention and early detection. Brake for Breakfast will be held on Wednesday May 22nd from 7 to 8:30 a.m. outside of the Dickstein Cancer Treatment Center at 2-4 Longview Avenue in White Plains. Participation is free of charge and no advance registration is necessary.
The final event of the Hospital’s sixth annual Wellness Through Prevention Month is Beauty From the Inside Out at Bloomingdale’s on Thursday evening, May 30th, where women will have the opportunity to listen to a panel discussion featuring White Plains Hospital medical experts in sleep medicine, foot care, stress management, heart health and nutrition. The $25 entrance fee is redeemable in the form of a gift card that can be used for purchases at the beauty bar that evening. Light refreshments and cocktails will be served.
