Book Fair Extraordinaire

To the delight of all the children, as well as the teachers and parents, more than 20 children’s book authors and illustrators attended the Annual Author/Illustrator Night at the Post Road Elementary School in White Plains. Children mingled with the authors and artists, posed questions and purchased personalized autograph copies of books. Lyndhurst Crafts

If you have never been to a Lyndhurst Contemporary Arts and Craft Show you are missing something! Held on the sprawling grounds of historic Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown the event, held in the spring and fall, draws more than 250 artisans displaying one-of-a-kind art, jewelry and fashion items. Mom’s Nite Out at Simon Mall

The Jefferson Valley mall recently hosted a Mom’s Nite Out offering moms a free evening filled with pampering, refreshments, entertainment and beauty experiences. The fun began a 5 p.m. with a light dinner and continued to 8 p.m. with more than 30 exhibitors participating. The Mall was pleased to join the National Mom’s Nite Out program, one of the largest cooperative efforts of mommy groups, mom-focused organizations, corporations and other businesses as they come together to celebrate motherhood. StinkyKids® The Musical

Based on the popular, award-winning StinkyKids® books and StinkyKids characters created by mother-of-two Britt Menzies, this full-stage musical inspired kids to make the right choices through their mistakes and to live by the StinkyKids motto: “Always be a leader of good.” The show was presented at the Vital Theatre, the New York City home of great children’s theater programming. www.vitaltheatre.org.


Explore-A-Thon

The day was sunny and the learning was fun, fun, fun! More than 500 participants tuned out for this year’s Explore-A-Thon to celebrate the soon-to-be Westchester Children’s Museum. This educational and recreational event, held in Rye Park, gave children and adults the chance to experience the type of interactive fun the Museum will feature.
