Westchester Table Tennis Center

Westchester Family was especially glad to be at the opening of the Westchester Table Tennis Center at 175 Tompkins Ave., in Pleasantville. The center is owed by Will Shortz and managed by Robert Roberts, one of the top 25 players in the United States. Anthropologie

Westchester Family was at the opening day celebration of the brand new Decorator Shop at Anthropologie, 1365 Post Road East, Westport, Conn. The event featured an introduction to the new décor and design workshop space with a home decorating how-to session given by interior designer Maggie Hudson Blau. www.anthropologie.com.

  


 

Eli Manning: Guiding Eyes for the Blind

Guiding Eyes for the Blind, the internationally accredited nonprofit guide dog school, recently welcomed the return of N.Y. Giants Quarterback Eli Manning for his fifth year as host of the 34th Annual Guiding Eyes Golf Classic. The event was held at the Mount Kisco Country Club in Mount Kisco, N.Y., and the Whippoorwill Club in Armonk, N.Y. In all, 288 golfers teed off, raising more than $650,000 for the organization. Top Chefs of Westchester

The third annual Top Chefs of Northern Westchester recently raised nearly $13,000 for the United Way of Westchester and Putnam while celebrating the debut year of the Teach Me to Fish … Work Skills for Life program. This program has trained and prepared nearly 800 residents for today’s workforce and delivers training and employment opportunities by partnering with local agencies. This Top Chefs fundraiser garnered the support and participation of some of the area’s most delicious eateries. The event also featured fine wines from around the world courtesy of Chappaqua’s Hilltop Wines & Spirits and Pleasantville’s Captain Lawrence Brewing Company.
