The Greenburgh Nature Center is working with Open Door Foundation to ensure that children from families of less fortunate means receive a brand new toy or gift this holiday season.
Donate a new toy or gift (unwrapped) for children (ages newborn to 14 years old).
Drop off your unwrapped gift at the GNC Manor House between November 24 – December 17 (Closed Fridays).
All of the toys will be distributed to young patients of Open Door Family Medical Centers.
Note: Toy/Gift value – $10-$20 each.

The Nature Center is located at 99 Dromore Road, off Central Park Avenue, in Scarsdale, NY. Parking is free, and handicapped parking is available. The Nature Center’s grounds are open daily dawn to dusk throughout the year. The Center’s indoor exhibits are open daily except Fridays and a few holidays, 9:30AM – 4:30PM on weekdays and 10AM – 4:30PM on weekends. About Open Door Family Medical Centers:
For 40 years, the federally qualified community health center has served a multi-cultural community and has provided top quality medical, dental care and social services to the Westchester community, particularly the economically disadvantaged. Open Door has four centers in Westchester located in Ossining, Port Chester, Mt. Kisco and Sleepy Hollow, and will open their first site in Putnam County in the Fall of 2012. In addition, Open Door operates five school-based health centers in Port Chester at The Edison Elementary School, Park Avenue School, Kennedy Magnet School, Port Chester Middle School and Port Chester High School. In 2011, 47,245 patients were treated at Open Door, making 208,622 patient visits. In the same year 14,520 children were treated. About Greenburgh Nature Center:
The Greenburgh Nature Center is a 33-acre woodland preserve with trails, a pond, gardens, a playground, and outdoor animal exhibits, including a birds of prey aviary. Our indoor exhibits include a live animal museum with over 100 specimens, exhibit areas focusing on nature and the environment, a greenhouse with botanical exhibits, and a gift shop. The Center offers programs for groups of all ages on a wide range of environmental topics, camps, adult programs, community events, and birthday parties, either here or at your location.
