School might be out, but fun is in. Check out these special programs designed to delight children and adults.

• Half-Day Nature Program. Spend the school vacation day learning about the lives of the Lenape Indians by telling stories, reenacting their games and learning about their farming and cooking methods.10:30am-2pm. Nature Bugs. Children and parents or caregivers come for an hour of nature and fun. Meet a museum animal, hear a story, do a craft project and bug out with nature games. Dress for outdoor activity, since except for extreme weather part of every class is spent outdoors. 1:30-2:30pm today and Nov. 12,19, 26. For children ages 2-5. $9 adults, $7 children. • School’s Out/Art’s In. The museum’s teaching artists explore a different aspect of animation on school holidays.  Projects in this series of workshops include flipbooks, cut paper animation, digital stop motion and cartoon drawing. Drop in from 10am-3pm, today and Nov. 23. For children under 6 with an adult; for children ages 7 and up, an adult must remain in the museum. $6. Reservations not required. • The Frog Prince and Other Tales. Four classics of children’s literature come alive in this enchanting new puppetry spectacle. Beautifully handcrafted puppets tell the story of “The Frog Prince,” “The Shoemaker and the Elves,” “The Three Billy Goats Gruff” and “The Fisherman and his Wife.” Performances are followed by a question and answer session with the puppeteers. 2pm Nov. 10; 11am and 2pm Nov. 12-16.
