Did you know the man who brought us the classic children’s story "Corduroy" also had a long career as an artist who documented New York? In this exhibition, see Don Freeman’s wonderful interpretations of the city through drawings, paintings, publications and prints, plus enjoy his original studies and sketches of Corduroy and other characters.

When: Saturday, May 11, 10am–6pm

A great opportunity for kids to try out machine sewing. This class teaches the basics of the sewing machine as students craft a simple pouch.

When: Saturday, May 11, 11:30am–1pm

Play with clay while spending quality time together as a family. Professional ceramic artists guide these themed weekly hand-building projects. No previous experience necessary! Projects will be glazed and fired and available for pick up 2 to 3 weeks after class.

When: Saturday, May 11, 1–3pm, 3:30–5:30pm

Join the incomparable Edmar Castañeda as he invites us to travel with him to countries such as Colombia, Venezuela, and Argentina — all through the power of his unparalleled talents on the harp. It’s almost impossible to take your eyes off of Castañeda as he shows off his wondrous dexterity and infectious passion that resonates in each pluck of the strings.
