Out & About (Dec 2011)

Museum of Motherhood

The Museum of Motherhood (M.O.M.), a living, breathing, community-centered arts, media and social change museum, which amplifies the voices and experiences of mothers and connects “the cultural family” while pioneering new areas of academe in mother studies, opened its doors to the public earlier this season.

The current M.O.M. Pop-Up Exhibit is an arts-centered program connecting creativity and motherhood with the community at large for the purposes of engaging families in an exploration of the “Art Of Motherhood” and the “Cultural Family” though Dec. 30. The museum is empowered by Motherhood Foundation, Inc. and Mamapalooza. For more information stop by the museum at 401 E. 84th St. at First Ave., New York, call 212-452-9816 or visit www.mommuseum.org.
