Playtime Storytime

Babies, toddlers, and families can make crafts, play with toys, and make new friends!

Morning Stroller Tour

A stroller-friendly tour before the museum opens to avoid the crowds! This special monthly program is tailored for our youngest visitors (ages 0–2) along with their parents and caregivers, providing a close-up look at the exhibitions. Taking place every second Friday of the month, each tour begins with a gallery discussion, followed by engaging activities such as storytime, art-making, puppetry, music, or movement, led by puppeteer and storyteller Sarah Provost.

Family Art Project: Garden Designs for Women’s History Month

Learn about women who have designed and cared for the gardens we love in honor of Women’s History Month. With their work in mind,  make your own miniature creations inspired by places like community gardens and Wave Hill. At 11:30 am families can enjoy a storytime program in the Gund Theater, all ages are welcome with a reading of the book In Our Garden by Pat Zietlow Miller.

St. Patrick’s Day Snakes

Legend says that Ireland has no snakes because St. Patrick chased them into the sea and banished them from the island forever. Nature Educators will separate fact from fiction about the Legend of St.Patrick and the correlation between the story and the science. Meet resident Ambassador Snakes during a live animal presentation, and make a snake-themed craft to bring home!
