2022 Hispanic Heritage Month Events in Westchester

There are many ways to appreciate different cultures in Westchester county. This month is all about celebrating, honoring, and appreciating hispanic heritage. From September 15th-October 15th, you’ll find a collection of Hispanic Heritage Month events in Westchester to experience with your kids. National Hispanic Heritage Month also offers a variety of resources and events that you and your kids can explore in other states as well as virtually.

Latin American Heritage Month Opening Event

Kick-off Hispanic Heritage Month at Westchester Community College. The Department of Student Involvement will be playing Latin American music, offering dance lessons, sampling of Latin American foods, and some trivia. 75 Grasslands Road, Valhalla, NY 10595.

Frida Kahlo: Unbroken: A Collage Workshop In Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month

Visit the Harrison Public Library for a fun and interactive collage workshop. New York based visual artist Patricia Bradshaw will lead this collective community event. Pico-Pico Papel Picado

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the Westchester Children’s Museum. Your kids will have the opportunity to learn about the art of papel picodo, a traditional Mexican folk art with elaborate designs. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Grupo Los Costeños at the Village Green Park

Enjoy live Colombian music from Grupo Los Costeños with your kids. Families can listen, sing along, and dance to traditional and popular songs.
