About Us

My book “Uniquely Normal: Tapping the Reservoir of Normalcy to Treat Autism,” won 5 awards, including the categories of “Psychology/Mental Health” and “Parenting and Family.” The foreword is written by Temple Grandin. It has 27 case stories of people on the spectrum significantly improving. I start with an evaluation of the person’s cognitive processes. I then develop an interactive therapeutic plan to affect the processing underlying the individual’s behavior. My passions are getting children to speak for the first time and working with Asperger’s young adults in establishing healthy relationships. I have also helped those not on the autism spectrum, to establish a healthy, romantic relationship. For children, I work with the school, including establishing the best placement and educational environment.
I speak at various venues, including appearing regularly on radio and at conferences. I offer to help parents with their child on the spectrum. My book is designed to do just that.
What is unique about my practice is how I approach each client — examining the cognitive processes underlying behavior, and developing exercises to effect the processing that leads to change in behavior. I feel the urgency to get your child better.
