Beauty and The Beast Cocktail Experience
We recently took a trip to NYC for a fun date night for Beauty and The Beast Cocktail Experience. Hosted by Explore Hidden, this quirky show/experience is based on “Beauty and the Beast” by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. Guests are immersed into this magical world where they will enjoy an evening of Beauty and the Beast-themed insta-worthy drinks, pastries, mini challenges, and more. Before the experience
Before the experience starts, guests wait in Pekarna NYC‘s bar area. The tables were adorned with a signal rose as we listened to live jazz before the experience started. For the 5:30pm show (they have two shows per evening at various times), a character appeared at the top of the stairs and the magic began. She checked our identification (the experience is 21+) and we were directed to go downstairs aka to the castle. Here, we found a whimsical world with Alice and Wonderland-themed decor that transformed to the world of Beauty and the Beast. It was quite magical, especially with the ode to so many rich, dark colors and cool decor pieces.
The experience
Once in the “castle,” we were greeted by Lumière who guided us to to our seats. The seats were adorned with a red rose and featured beautiful floral plates. We were given a welcome glass of champagne as the characters walked around, greeting us, and performing. Jeanne-Marie LePrince de Beaumont’s black-and-white version of “Beauty and the Beast” played in the background that lent itself to the mystery and quirkiness of the evening.
Part theatrical show/part cocktail experience, we enjoyed two signature cocktails, a sweet (gluten-free) treat, and interactive challenges along the way. It was definitely a fun twist on going out for drinks where we became a part of the adventure, never quite knowing what was going to happen next. The characters were lively, engaging, and so entertaining as we followed along pretending to be in this enchanted Castle, which after a few cocktails you might just feel like you are in.
A fun, out-of-the-box experience, we highly recommend this hybrid theatrical show/escape room/cocktail experience for a fun night out. The actual show is 90-minutes from start-to-finish. They also offer a family-friendly version of this experience. Held every Sunday from 1:00pm-2:30pm, you and your kids can enjoy a modified version of the experience along with yummy mocktails.

Since this is a show, the experience starts right on time. They do not allow people in after 20 minutes. The event is 21+ and has limited tickets.
