2023 Bicycle Sundays in Westchester
The popular Westchester County program Bicycle Sundays is back this spring! As the County’s longest running recreational program, Bicycle Sundays started in 1974 that quickly became a beloved County-wide activity. Through this program, Westchester residents and visitors can enjoy outdoor exercise while having access to the Bronx River Parkway — without any cars.
In addition to bicyclists, the program welcomes in-line skaters, scooters, walkers, and joggers along its 13.1 miles (round-trip) trail. This covers Exit 22 at the Westchester County Center to Exit 4 at Scarsdale Road in Yonkers. The program does not permit the use of skateboards and no dogs are allowed on the pathway.
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult and children under age 14 (as well as all riders), are strongly recommended to wear a helmet.
The program kicked off on Sunday, May 7th and runs until September 24th from 10:00am-2:00pm.
2023 Bicycle Sundays take place on the following dates:
May – 7, 14, 21
June – 4, 11, 18, 25
September – 10, 17, 24
