Mini Guide to Mini Golf

Great for all ages, mini golf is an active and affordable way to unwind with family and friends. Make a day of it by following your game with a picnic or a walk by the beach, or just go for a quick round. With a number of uniquely charming locations in the area, finding a golf park is easy. Pick one of the following courses and you’ll be hitting brightly colored balls through a windmill in no time.

 
Brookside Mini Golf

Brookside Mini Golf at Tibbetts Brook Park is as colorful as it is fun. Decorated with New York artist Mike A’s hilarious cartoon characters, called “Freaky Dinkys,” this 19-hole course is an exciting change from the typical green. Open 11 a.m. to dusk with a snack bar on premises. The nearby fishing lakes, playgrounds, campsites and sports fields make Tibbetts Brook Park the one-stop place for summer fun. Saxon Woods Mini Golf

In addition to boasting popular forest trails, the county’s largest swimming pool and the county’s only wheelchair accessible playground, 700-acre Saxon Woods Park has an impressive 19-hole mini golf course where kids and adults can play for $6 per person. At Saxon Woods, you’ll putt across wooden bridges over little ponds, past lush potted plants, and through brightly colored loop-de-loops. Rye Playland Mini Golf

Playland Mini Golf is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. throughout the sunny season so the 19-hole course provides the perfect place to spend a warm summer evening. Take your whole family to play a round for just $4 per person and enjoy the sights of an illuminated Long Island Sound. When you’ve finished, top off your game with a tasty dinner at one of the boardwalk’s casual restaurants. Complete the night with breathtaking views of the area from Playland’s famous Ferris wheel. New Roc City FUNFUZION Glow Mini Golf

Looking for a place to take your kids on a rainy day? Funfuzion Glow Mini Golf at New Roc City offers an 18-hole indoor course unlike any other in Westchester County. Putt under ceilings lit by black lights and past walls decorated with glow-in-the dark shapes and scenes. And don’t stop at just one game – prices are lower the second time around. Just remember to wear white! Avid mini golfers of all ages can head to Fairview Golf Center’s two 18-hole courses for some friendly competition during the summer months. For a $10 sign up fee, putt your way to a fun afternoon and maybe even an exciting prize. Fairview’s mini golf courses are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day, all year round. Norwalk Cove Marina Mini Golf

At just $5 per round, Norwalk Cove Marina offers the perfect mini golf course for players looking for fresh air, fun and a little challenge. Along the 18 holes, you’ll putt through interesting obstacles like boats, sand traps and extreme contours as you enjoy a cool breeze off Calf Pasture Beach and Long Island Sound. Play from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
