March Spring Break Mini Camps

• Holiday Break Mini-Camp. Drop children off to have fun while they learn about wildlife. Activities include animal presentations, stories, crafts and lots of fun. For children in grades K-3. $22 per day. Registration is required. March 25- March 29. • Spring Fling Mini Camp. Give your child a fun-filled week of outdoor adventures during the school break. Nature games, animal encounters and more. Sign up for individual days or the full session. Snacks are provided but full day campers need to pack a lunch. March 25-March 29. 4-5 year olds: 9am-noon; $185 for the week. 6-12 year olds: 9am-3pm; $335 for the week. • Vacation Nature Camp. Let your child enjoy an action-packed time during the school break. Naturalists involve, amuse, stimulate and inform children with different activities each day, including animal study, nature crafts and games. Lunch should be sent each day. 9:30am-2pm March 25-March 28. For children in grades K-3. $210 for four days. Reservations required, space limited. • Groove’s Spring Break Jams. Celebrate the season of daffodils, sidewalk chalk and school holidays by joining in the fun at Groove’s Spring Break Jams featuring Music for Aardvarks. Sing, dance, jam and laugh at loud with live music jams led by talented musician/educators. 9:30 and 10:30am March 26-March 28. For children ages 6 months-5 years with active grownup. $25/first child. $10/additional siblings. Registration required. • School’s Out/Art’s In. On each day of the school break, teaching artists present different quilt-inspired art projects, in keeping with the museum’s current exhibition. Activities for this drop-in program include creating fabric wall hangings, paper quilt designs, story quilting and pattern quilting. 10am-3pm March 26 – March 29. Children under age 6 participate with an adult; for children ages 7 and up, adults must remain in the museum. $6. Reservations not required. • Art in the Afternoons. Visit the museum during the school vacation for an afternoon of drawing-inspired activities. Experiment with a variety of drawing techniques, materials and surfaces, all inspired by the museum’s current
Extreme Drawing” exhibition. Noon-5pm. Friday March 29th. For all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult. Free with admission: $10 adults, free for children ages 18 and under.
