• Mamas Expo. The New York Hall of Science and the Mamas Network present the second annual Mamas Expo, an event for all parents (and expecting parents) of children up to age 6. Workshops, hands-on activities, product demonstrations and giveaways, make this a fun and informative day. 10am-5pm May 5. Free with $11 museum admission. 21st Century Epidemics: Your Child at Risk. The “Lunch and Learn” lecture series features presentations by experts on the science and history of childhood epidemics. This month’s topic is Eating Disorders, and the discussion is led by a Diane Mickley, M.D., a Connecticut physician with a specialty in treating this problem. Bag lunches are welcome. Noon-1pm.
